“What if I fail again?”
So tired of the inner critic inside her head telling her she would likely fail at another weight loss attempt, Rachel* knew she needed some help. At every doctor’s checkup, she was told that if she did not change her diet or get more exercise, she would likely have to go on medication to control her blood pressure.
She was also tired of her body’s aches, pains, and stiffness. She felt defeated and crushed when she could no longer get onto the floor to play with her granddaughter.
More and more, Rachel began feeling as though her doctors were not listening to her. Her health appointments were more frustrating than helpful. Rarely did she feel seen or understood by the many providers she saw. She found the standard medical recommendations confusing or just not beneficial to her. She couldn’t understand how to follow any daily health plan in her day-to-day life.
I understand the frustration and fear that comes with health issues. Sometimes, a little support from a compassionate professional therapist or coach is what we need to move us in the right direction.
“I need to get healthier, but where to start?”
Working with a health coach can help you focus on specific behavior changes essential to you.
Together, in a supportive and compassionate way, we will create a personal vision of health, set realistic goals, and identify your unique strengths and motivation.
You will be encouraged to develop new health behaviors and attitudes with a nonjudgmental accountability partner at each step!
Health coaching may be your answer if you are looking for specific, realistic health outcomes!
Health coaching worked for Rachel.
After six months of regular health and wellness coaching sessions, Rachel was making positive changes. She was eating healthier and at more regular times. Rachel was going to bed at a reasonable hour and getting eight hours of quality sleep. She felt more confident in her ability to set realistic action steps.
With my help as her coach, she could take seemingly large and overwhelming health goals and break them down into small, achievable steps that she could do.
Over time, her motivation to move her body daily became stronger, and through her mindfulness practices, she learned to be kinder to herself.
